President's Message August 2019I can’t believe a year has gone by and I am transitioning into my next chapter with ACSN. It has been an amazing year working with a group of such dedicated and hardworking individuals who are extremely passionate about ACSN and its future. I would like to say thank you to each of you for your time, and energy. We would not be where we are today without all your contributions. 2018-2019 SNAPSHOT: We hired a consultant to help guide us through the process of creating a 3-year strategic plan which was completed and accepted by the board in November 2018. ACSN is in a healthy financial position and I transitioned our manual bookkeeping system to online using Quickbooks and implemented tighter internal controls and processes. Along with this came a budgeting system which will allow us to make better financial decisions in the future. Another huge milestone was the publication of our first annual report and revamping our Membership and Corporate Partner Benefits. Our biggest accomplishment was signing with an Association Management Company to take on the day to day operations of ACSN. This is a huge step forward and will allow the board and committee members to focus on the strategic initiatives to grow the organization.
