President's Message February 2021Hello everyone, For so many reasons, I have turned to ACSN in recent days. I am grateful to have colleagues and friends in this association. In a time when there is so much unrest in the country, I have turned to these friends for hope and laughter. In a time of high unemployment and an uncertain economy, I have conferred with ACSN colleagues for creative ways to deliver important job search resources and support. And when I want to stay on top of my game, I benchmark with ACSN members for the most innovative practices in order to best serve our alumni and impress our leadership! Don’t forget that you have many people to turn to when you need support or collegiality in these very different times. What better way to connect with ACSN colleagues than through our annual conference. With the safety of our members, budgetary considerations, and travel restrictions still in place, the Executive Board has made the decision to host ACSN’s 2021 conference as a virtual event this summer. We are grateful to our Conference Committee for recommending this option and working with the San Diego Coronado Island site in postponing our next in-person conference until July of 2022. If ACSN’s Virtual Summit was any indication of a starting point, I know without a doubt our ACSN2021 Virtual Conference will be an impactful and amazing professional development opportunity. I am eagerly looking forward to turning to this remarkable ACSN resource and I hope you’ll join me in registering for it in the months ahead! Stay healthy, safe, and happy.
