President's Message September 2021

Hello Everyone!

I’m excited to start my term as President of ACSN! I am honored and humbled to take on this role. first joined ACSN in 2014 and attended the Denver conference. Never would I have imagined that seven years later, I would be given the opportunity to steward this amazing organization! If you’re reading this as a newcomer, please know that you, too, can become President of ACSN!

Whether you’re a seasoned professional or new to alumni career work, I invite you to join other members to bring the spirit of ACSN to life: volunteers create our conference; school and partner members lead and participate in our webinars; peers help one another via thoughtful conversations. It doesn’t take long before you realize that you’re among kindred spirits who share your passion for this work and for the impact we strive to make on our respective alumni. When you’re ready, step into a volunteer role, and you’ll form even deeper relationships and make life-long friends.

The pandemic’s impact on life and on our work is far from over. During this time, let’s lean on one another to get through the unexpected. Know that your ACSN peers can move you from isolation to community, from confusion to hopefulness during these challenging times.

As we ready ourselves for the change of season and recommit to our work, let’s also recommit to ourselves. One way to do this is to make time for your involvement with ACSN. I’m confident you will be sustained by our community, just as you sustain those who seek your guidance and good work.

Warmest wishes for a rewarding fall season!
