ACSN2020 - COVID-19 Update >>

March 13, 2020 >>

For our ACSN members and colleagues, your safety and well-being are of the utmost concern of our organization. ACSN2020 is primarily following guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Department of State. As such, the ACSN2020 conference team offers the following information and updates regarding the COVID-19 impact on our preparations for Alumni Career Services Network’s 15th Annual Conference in San Diego, July 27-30, 2020.

ACSN2020: Reflect. Renew. Rejuvenate. is proceeding as scheduled. We remain in close contact with the Coronado Marriott Resort & Spa along with the San Diego Business Chamber and will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves.

Our ACSN2020 planning committee continues to solidify the exciting learning opportunities, workshops, and arrangements for our 15th Annual Conference. Below, you can get answers to more details on things that are on our minds, and likely yours too.

Conference Registration and Travel Arrangements

We encourage attendees to proceed with conference registration and hotel arrangements. This will ensure you can take advantage of our early bird pricing (now extended through the end of April) and our discounted room rates at the Coronado Marriott Resort & Spa.

Register now, pay later: Upon registration, attendees will have the option to pay now or be invoiced at a later date (through early July). To make informed decisions regarding conference programming, our planning team will rely heavily on registration data.

The Marriott organization is closely monitoring the status of COVID-19 and the guidance provided by official public health agencies. The hotel’s health and safety measures are designed to address a broad spectrum of viruses, including COVID-19, and include everything from handwashing hygiene and cleaning product specifications to guest room and common area cleaning procedures. Conference Scope

ACSN2020: Reflect. Renew. Rejuvenate. is unique in that much of its programming is scheduled to occur outdoors, taking advantage of the bayside location in Coronado Island. Historical conference data shows an average attendance between 150-200 attendees and we expect similar totals for the 2020 conference.

Virtual Add-On

At this time, we are actively exploring opportunities for virtual engagement across conference programming in addition to our in-person format. We look to our peer organizations for strategies and will leverage these networks to inform future decisions.
