Join Caroline Francis and Amanda Schagane, Director and Associate Director of Alumni Career Services at the University of Kentucky, as they share best practices on starting a successful Job Club program. The Central Kentucky Job Club has been going strong since 2013 and over 2K have participated. Adapting to the needs of the community due to COVID-19, the Central Kentucky Job Club moved to a Zoom® Webinar format in March. The shift to online modality yielded 363% growth in average attendance online (March-June 2020) compared to in person meetings (July 2019-March 2020). Join us as our colleagues share some nuts and bolts of how to begin a job club, create strategic community partnerships and design relevant programming for specific audiences. Metrics and examples of publicity will also be disseminated.

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Begin a job club that will serve as a vital community resource, especially for mid-late career professionals
  • Develop a wide variety of partnerships to build and nurture a club
  • Build topics for relevant programs
  • Effectively market the program
