Happy New Year (Kind of)!

Hi - I’m Pat Fligge, and in case we haven’t met yet, I’ll be serving as ACSN President this academic year. I am grateful for this opportunity to serve an organization that has meant so much to me in my own career!

I’m also grateful that as education professionals, we get to celebrate this “other” New Year’s moment, the start of a fresh academic year. I know I’m always ready to see campus come alive and shift from planning into doing. Even for those of us whose work doesn’t always revolve around the student experience, you can still feel the change in the energy.

As you dive into this new academic year, I want you to think about three questions:

• What’s a new idea or a new program you’re doing that others in ACSN should know about?
• What’s a question you have or a challenge you’re working through that ACSN could help you with?
• Do you know of anyone who should also know about ACSN?

If and when you’ve got thoughts on these questions, I want you to email me! I’m looking forward to learning about the good work you’re doing, questions you’re considering, and new friends you can bring into our network.
