About the Presenter

Mary Anne Thompson created the niche of expert-sourced, location-specific career resources in 2002 as a result of her own job-hunting experience in Stockholm, Sweden. Today, more than 1,000 of the world's leading academic institutions have relied on GoinGlobal's copyrighted content to support their students' and alumni employment searches at home and abroad. Mary Anne has appeared on CNN, was a speaker and writer for MonsterEurope, and was the first-ever career columnist for Svenska Dagbladet, the largest newspaper in Sweden. She was a key player in the development of the US Department of State’s spousal career program, the Global Employment Initiative (GEI), where she served as Interim Program Director. Mary Anne is also an author and attorney, with the honor of working for both former President Ronald Reagan in the White House and Secretary of Transportation, Elizabeth Dole.
